Bingo is very similar to a lottery game. It is a game of chance and it is based on luck, not on skill.
The first thing you need to do is buy a bingo card. You can buy just one, or as many as you want. On the card you will notice various numbers and blank squares. When the game starts numbers will be drawn and a caller will announce what number was drawn. If the number that was called corresponds to a number on your card you must mark that number off. If you manage to mark off all the numbers in a line you will win. You must call out ??Bingo? in order to let the caller know you have won. You will receive a prize, usually money.
The central square of the bingo card is deliberately left free most of the times. You will win if all your numbers in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line come up. You will then receive a prize which can be anything from plush toys, cars, to cash money. And sometimes the cash prizes can be very large. Online bingo games are especially alluring as they can offer pretty much everything as a prize.
Note that bingo is legal in most U.S. states, unlike other forms of gambling. Some states may prohibit gambling but they allow bingo games.
