A simple Jacks or Better Strategy Guide

Using this strategy chart is extremely easy. All you have to do is compare your hand to the chart and decide accordingly. You should not discard the cards that match the highest cards on the chart. When you have found a match in the chart, keep that card combination and discard all other cards.

In order to understand the chart below you must first understand the vocabulary. You should definitely know what a “gap” means if you are going to play video poker. A hand will have a gap if you need a card to complete the straight that you have in your hand. That card cannot be placed at either end of your hand, but somewhere in the middle. If you need two cards to complete that straight, you have a hand with two gaps.

* Royal flush;

* Four-card royal flush;
* Full house;
* Flush;

Keeping a cool head, maintaining you composure is a definite must if you want to become a Texas Hold’Em, poker pro. You must be able to keep you poker face on, refrain from exposing you emotions, and most of all control your chips. If you lack these characteristics maybe you should find another game to play.

Getting angry will not help your game. If you get angry you will place bad bets and lose considerable amounts of money.

Texas Hold’Em poker is just a game. Move on if a something bad happens. Forget about previous hands and focus on future hands.

Here is a hot tip. Always bet smart. Wager as much money as you can afford to lose. Yes, I said lose. Never take all your money and hope that you will win and make a huge profit. You must always take into consideration the eventuality that you will lose all your bankroll. So always wager only as much as you can afford.

The point of course is to win. But chances are that you will not. If that happens you will not walk away thinking that you just lost the rent money.

The main purpose of Texas Hold’Em and any other casino game is to have fun. Entertainment is the main value of any casino game.

Avoid getting too caught up in the English Premiership

When it comes to football there is no other league more exciting than the English Premiership. Millions of football fans watch the live matches that are shown in numerous countries. Betting on the English Premiership is intensely promoted by the bookmakers and as a consequence football betting has increased in popularity over the last ten years. Take Divisions 2 and 3 of the Scottish league for example. I know people that bet only on these leagues and won. European leagues such as the Austrian or Belgian leagues also offer good sports betting opportunities. If you happen to live in one of those countries you will definitely have an edge in terms of information on form, team news and injuries.

The point I am trying to make is this: there’s no doubt that the English Premiership offers incredible betting opportunities. But if you want to get the best return on your money, if you want to make the best of some very lucrative betting options, I definitely advise you to look outside the premiership and major leagues. Lower league matches are just as advantageous.

Texas Hold’Em Poker Odds

A high card hand is the best, statistically speaking. A high card hand refers to a poker hand that has no pairs, not straights, and no flushes. The card with the highest value is deemed the high card for that particular hand. Unfortunately, a high card poker hand will not always win you the pot.

Texas Hold’Em odds can be used to calculate what risks the community cards pose. Your opponent may be holding weak cards, but sometimes good cards will come up on the turn or the river and those cards will turn his weak hand into a strong one.

Getting a three of a kind, four of a kind or a full house usually means that you will win the pot. But these poker hands have rather low odds of coming up.
