12 Lottery Strategies

October 11, 2007

Below I have listed 12 lottery strategies that will help you come out a winner. Read them carefully and keep them in mind the next time you play the lottery.

Number 1

Always be random, so do not draw patterns on the lottery ticket. If you play patterns such as all the numbers down one side of the ticket for example, you are only cheating yourself and putting yourself at a disadvantage.

Number 2

Always be random, so do not draw zigzags on the ticket. Simply pick the numbers you want to play and mark them on the ticket. It is as simple as that.

Number 3

Always be random, so do not draw circles, shapes, and so on. The numbers are drawn in a random fashion, so pick the numbers randomly as well.

Number 4

Do not pick numbers that have already won. Just because those numbers won in the past does not mean they will win again. The chances of these numbers coming up again are slim at best. If you do not know which numbers to pick, why not use a lottery syndicate.

Number 5

Using birthdates is useless. Not to mention that they stop at 31. Most people do not even realize this right away.

Number 6

Using repeating numbers is useless. The numbers are drawn in a random fashion, so pick the numbers randomly as well.

Number 7

Using consecutive numbers is useless. The numbers are drawn in a random fashion, so pick the numbers randomly as well. Here is a simple question for you: Have you ever seen consecutive numbers in a winning lottery result? There’s no arguing that it could happen, but the chances of it happening are astronomical.

Number 8

Using all even numbers is useless. The numbers are drawn in a random fashion, so pick the numbers randomly as well. Not to mention that this will limit you when choosing lottery numbers.

Number 9

Using all odd numbers is useless. The numbers are drawn in a random fashion, so pick the numbers randomly as well. Not to mention that this will limit you when choosing lottery numbers.

Number 10

If you pick 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, then you are not picking the winning numbers in a random fashion. These are consecutive numbers and the odds of them winning are extremely low.

Number 11

If you pick 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, then you are not picking the winning lottery numbers in a random fashion. These are also consecutive numbers and the odds of them winning are extremely low.

Number 12

If you pick 7, 17, 27, 37, 47, then you are not picking the winning lottery numbers in a random fashion. All of these numbers have 7 in them. They could win, but the chances of it happening are astronomical.

In conclusion you are well advised to choose lottery numbers using a mix of odd and even numbers. Also remember to use the range of numbers e.g. 1 to 49 and be as random as possible. The numbers are drawn in a random fashion, so pick the numbers randomly as well.

A beginner’s guide to playing bingo

May 3, 2007

When someone says the word “bingo”, what do you think about? Personally I think of two things. The first one is the song “bingo”. You know the one I am talking about, the one with the dog, “and bingo was his name-o”. The second thing I think about is my grandma and her bingo sessions. To be brutally honest I never really cared much about bingo halls and nor did I care for all those old people playing bingo. But when I stumbled across online bingo, I became hooked. Online bingo offers all the pleasures of the game with none of the drawbacks:

- Exciting game play;
- The possibility to chat with the other players;
- Luck of the draw;
- Good chances of winning fabulous prizes.

Bingo’s Beginnings

The origins of bingo can be traced to the 1500s, in Italy. The Italian National Lottery is believed to be the game that spawned bingo as we know it today.

In 1929 the game found its way to the United States. The game was called “beano” and it was regularly played at carnivals. The game was played by placing beans on the numbers, hence the name beano.

Edwin Lowe played an important part in bingo’s history. He became fascinated with the game. He created a home made version and started holding bingo nights at his house. The name bingo came about as an accident. One night a beano player at Lowe’s home won, but instead of saying beano the player said bingo. Lowe then marketed the game under the name bingo.

The Ins and Outs of the Game

In order to play bingo you must first purchase a bingo card. If you want you can play more than one card, it is all up to you. Each bingo card is nothing more than a 5×5 grid. There are 5 columns and each column is marked by one of the letters that make up the word bingo. Under each letter there are 5 numbers. You must mark the numbers as they are called out and the goal is to mark all the numbers. Simply call out bingo after you have marked all the numbers.

Cheating at bingo is practically impossible. This is because there are around 6,000 to 9,000 card combinations. These card combinations were set up by a mathematician, who went insane after completing this challenging job.

Note that bingo is a fast paced game and you must always be focused. You should pay attention to the caller and make sure not to miss any number that is called out. After all, surely you do not want to miss your chance if winning the jackpot.

Online Bingo

Traditional bingo was a big hit the first time it was played. It enjoyed a wide spread popularity all over the world. People flocked to the bingo halls for a chance of playing the game.

Nowadays we can play bingo from the comfort of our own homes. Simply go online and start playing. Online bingo halls are active, busy places. The game is exciting and entertaining at the same time. Not to mention that you can chat with other players while the game takes place thanks to the chat feature. You could never do that in a land based bingo hall. Everyone around you would be shushing an looking at you funny.

There was a time when bingo was the game of choice for small scale charity events, school fund raisers, or old people. Online bingo is played by millions of people all over the world, young and old alike.

Online bingo profits on the rise - Smoking ban expected to influence traditional bingo

April 6, 2007

A new smoking legislation has recently been passed in England. Basically it forbids smoking in any public place, including land based bingo halls. The main concern is how that will influence traditional bingo. Already people are predicting that online bingo will become the favorite alternative. It remains to be seen if smoking bingo players will turn to playing online or if they will refrain from smoking in land based bingo halls. Some have even predicted that the new, healthier environment will attract new players.

Bingo is an entertaining and fun game. It is enjoyed by all age groups, and it is a great opportunity to socialize and have fun, while playing bingo and perhaps winning some money. The thing is that the majority of bingo players are elderly women. Playing bingo is their opportunity to meet up, chat, and have fun. The majority of loyal bingo players are smokers. The alternative of course is to play bingo online. Since most online bingo halls have a chat feature, you can still socialize and chat. But we are forgetting that the majority of bingo players are elderly women. Most of them do not have a PC and buying one is not a financially viable option. But even if you do get a PC, you still need an internet connection. This means more money, money that these ladies do not have. Not to mention that most of them have never used a computer and must learn to use it and learn to play online bingo. With all these in mind we can expect some of these bingo players to give up bingo altogether.

Some bingo players that enjoy a smoke welcome the idea. According to them the fact that they have to go outside to smoke has saved them money. Profitable for the player, not so much for the bingo hall…

Online bingo providers more than welcome the new legislation. They see this ban on smoking as a good opportunity to increase their business. Passionate bingo players are expected to turn away from traditional bingo halls and sign up to online bingo casinos. In Scotland for example numerous bingo players have turned to playing bingo online and land based bingo halls have reported decreasing profits and smaller numbers of customers.

The effect of the legislation in England and Wales remains to be seen. For now we can only estimate what will happen. It seems that traditional bingo halls will suffer while online bingo casinos will expand their market.

March 15, 2007

Also it brings lots of entertaining ad fun, for the people of all ages. The same exciting atmosphere can be encountered at an online bingo hall as well.

Many use online bingo halls as a way to communicate with the players of opposite gender, because most of these halls have a built in chat room. Chit Chat Bingo hosts players for the entire Europe not just from UK, and thanks to this it is able to offer much more increased prizes.

A survey revealed that 46% of men use online dating or chat rooms looking for long-term relationships and 54% of women have use online dating or chat rooms for friendship.

Here is a more detailed list:

•    Those that seek friendship – 39% men, 54% women
•    Those that seek long-term relationships – 46% men, 42% women
•    Those that seek intimate relationship – 37% men, 16% women
•    Those with shared interest – 22% men, 27% women
•    Those with no strings flings – 30% men, 8% women

Also the survey has revealed that 14% of men and 14% of women internet users have used online dating sites to find true love and 13% men and 6% women to seek marriage.
It is not proven that many have used the online bingo halls; this can be confirmed only by the chat room managers who monitor the chat rooms to prevent abusive or incorrect languages and other departure from the rules. Many use the chat rooms just as a form of communication, without seeking love or any other similar relations.

It is revealed that 14% percent of the users have received unwanted solicitation in a chat room, and most of the times the solicitations turned to be aggressive. The chat rooms are a great way to communicate with other persons, to play a role; pretend you are someone you have always fantasized. On the meanwhile you can play bingo and maybe hope that success will come both in the game and in your love life.

U.K. Bingo

March 1, 2007

U.K. bingo is a highly interesting and popular game. People all over the world have recently turned to playing U.K. bingo. The reason why its popularity is on the rise is the fact that it can be played anywhere and anytime. The main things you need in order to play U.K. bingo are some bingo cards and bingo chips, a few competent players that can identify numbers, and a desire to win. As for the place where you can play it, churches, charity houses, social functions, and parties are just a few examples.

There are bingo players in the U.K. that are hooked on the game. They spend and win millions of pounds per year playing U.K. bingo.

There are two ways of playing U.K. bingo. The fist one is playing in a traditional bingo hall. The second one is playing online, from the comfort of your own home. Both games are just as exciting and just as entertaining. The man difference is the environment. When playing in a bingo hall you have no control over it, but when playing online you are playing from your own home, you have complete control over the environment.

U.K. bingo rules

The numbers 1 to 90 are usually used in U.K. bingo. Unlike the American version where cards are used, U.K. bingo uses tickets. On each ticket you will notice three rows and nine columns. On each row you will find five numbers. This makes up a total of 15 numbers on each U.K. bingo ticket.

You must buy enough tickets for an entire session. A session lasts for about an hour and 3 to 8 games are played in one session. If you do not want to buy tickets you can buy a book consisting of a group of six tickets and ninety numbers.

How to win at U.K. bingo

All the players taking part in a bingo game wish to win, of course. The chance of winning that prize makes the game exciting, keeps the players determined and enthusiastic. When playing U.K. bingo it is extremely important to get to know the winning criterion of the game.

In order to win, one of the following situations must occur:

- You will win if you get all the five numbers in the first row of your ticket;

- You will win if you get five numbers in both the first and the second line;

- You will win if you get all the numbers in all the three rows. This is known as full house.

The grand finale

You must call out “house” if any of the three situations presented above occurs. You must call out in order to claim your victory.

The game will briefly stop if a player has five numbers in the first row. During this stop the organizers will verify the ticket and will validate the win. The ticket will be displayed on a screen if it indeed is a winning ticket. The same will happen if a player gets five numbers in both the first and the second line.

The game will continue until someone will get all the numbers in all the three rows or a full house. This is when the game will end and the winner will be paid out.

Note that in order to claim a multi-line win the winning lines must be on the same ticket.

The prize pool is divided between the winning players. The player with five numbers in a row will get the smallest payout, the player with five numbers in both the first and the second line will get a bigger payout, and the player with a full house will get the biggest payout.
